Since 1980, the Centre de gemmologie du Québec has been dedicated to the appraisal of jewellery and gemstones. Jewellers, government agencies, customs, police, insurance companies, not to mention the general public, represent who their customers are.

Claudie Bourchard, Senior Appraiser, is the owner of the Centre de gemmologie du Québec since 2015. A Gemologist and Certified Gemologist Appraiser, having graduated with a Gemology degree from The British Gemological Association of Great Britain (Gem-A) and the École de gemmologie de Montréal (EGM), and finally in Gem and Jewellery Appraisal (EGMA), she continued her professional development at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Her expert knowledge acquired over the years has made her a serious and trusted resource in the appraisal of jewellery and gemstones—both precious and semi-precious.
